I got made redundant and began the hardcore work search that has defined my last five weeks. I juggled agencies, searched websites, took hundreds of calls and spent enough time on the mobile listening to voicemails to get radioactive poisoning. Blasted phone, I'm surprised I'm not glowing!

The last two on the list were the nicest interviews I've ever had and
both offered me a job on Wednesday and Thursday last week! It was just the hardest decision I've ever made, but in the end I chose Leukaemia CARE, woo hoo! From thursday I am no longer unemployed!!!
Durante las ultimas cinco semanas, desde que los Odiosos de BioCare me echaron, me hestado buscando trabajo como una loca. En fin, tuve unas tres entrevistas con agencias de empleo, mas las siete mencionadas arriba, hasta que estaba totalmente harta de estas entrevistas. Con algunas tuve que presentarme una segunda vez asi que en total calculo unos once entrevistas. Y no quiero pensar cuntao tiempo gaste por telefono movil, quizas me habra envenenado con radiacion! Pero, por fin, me ofrecieron no uno sino dos contratos y escogi el de la caridad Leukaemia CARE. Empiezo el jueves!!! Last friday the BioCare gang spent a very enjoyable night in the Green Man pub in Harborne saying, not exactly goodbye but I suppose it was really. I'm hoping to stay in touch with many of them though, made some very special friends with Linda, Chris, Jack, and many more.

Hace un poco mas de una semana que Alex y yo fuimos a pasar una tarde con los amigos de BioCare. Eramos como 30 esta noche, diria que mas que media de la compania se fue, y claro los directores no estaban invitados. Nos pasamos excelentemente, no nos sentiamos que deciamos adios, pero supongo que en realidad era para decirnos adios aunque no me gustaria perderme contacto con los buenos amigos que he hecho con Linda, Chris, Jack, y muchos mas. I think it's about time I introduced you to our newest member of the family. Alex had his birthday back in march and "invested" in the newest bit of technology I've nicknamed the Beast. The picture doesn't do it justice. Anyway he's all excited and I thought I'd share this little piece of Panasonic genius with you. I have only one other thing to say; it is 50, yes five-oh inches, and it lives in the games room.
It was lovely to see everyone, although there's never ever enough time to catch up properly. You do all the sensible questions, like "how are you?" "how's the job" etc and then it's almost time to go home.
